CONTACT – OLIVER HENKE | CLOSE-UP MAGIC & MENTALISM
Let’s talk about your event
Tell me the occasion, the date and roughly how many guests you expect. That is enough to work out which format fits your evening and where in the running order it belongs. For close-up magic and mentalism, the fastest contact is a short email with the date and the place.
How to reach me
A direct line, no agency in between
Office hours
Mon – Sat, 9:00 – 17:30
Outside those hours, leave a message.
After you write
Three steps, then it is settled
What to expect
A reply within a day. Usually the same evening. If your date is already taken you will hear that straight away, not a week later.
A short conversation. Five minutes on the phone is normally enough to work out whether close-up magic at the tables, a stage set, or a combination of the two fits your evening — and where in the running order it belongs.
A written quote. A fixed price including travel, with no small print. Nothing is reserved until you say so.
There is no agency in between and no booking fee. You deal directly with the person who will be standing at your guests’ tables.
Enquiry
Tell me about your evening
Occasion, date and a rough guest count are enough to start with. Everything else we can work out together.
Before you write
What helps me answer properly
Four details turn a vague enquiry into a concrete proposal.
The details
The date matters most — it decides whether the rest is worth discussing. The city and venue come second, because a ballroom, a factory floor and a garden marquee are three different jobs. Then the number of guests, roughly, and finally the shape of the evening: is there a seated dinner, a standing reception, speeches, a band?
You do not need a concept. Most enquiries arrive as three lines, and that is enough to say whether close-up magic, a stage show or the combination of both fits your evening — and at which point in the running order it belongs.
A reply usually reaches you within 24 hours, including a suggested format and a single all-in price. No packages, no per-kilometre travel lists.

Good to know
Oliver Henke is based in Essen, Germany, and works across Europe and beyond — from Amsterdam and Monaco to Dubai and New York. Travel and accommodation are calculated into the total, never billed separately afterwards.
Performances run in German or English. In practice the language matters less than people expect: close-up magic happens in the hands of your guests, and that needs no translation.
For December dates and trade fair weeks, six to twelve months of lead time is normal. Outside those periods a booking at short notice is often possible, because nothing has to be built, delivered or rigged.
